Terry Fox explores the Bible to reveal the Christian message so you will know you have peace with God in Jesus Christ by the grace of God. Christianity is the amazing story of a holy God pursuing His sinful people to rescue them from sin, death, the devil, and His wrath. To do this God came to earth as a man, Jesus Christ, lived a perfect life and died the death we deserve. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit makes you alive with Christ and unites you to Him by working faith in you. Now all that belongs to Jesus Christ belongs to you. His righteousness is credited to you. His death is your death. His resurrection is your resurrection. You are secure in Jesus Christ because you are saved by grace. Now you have peace with God in Jesus Christ. You will see this more clearly as we study the Bible, review historic Christian confessions, and examine Reformed theology to build a solid foundation. Terry’s simple style makes it easy to understand. This will help soften your heart, and your love and devotion to God will flourish. Hit subscribe and grow in God’s grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

70 - New Testament Verses on Forgiveness
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Adam was our representative in the Garden of Eden. So when he sinned, we sinned. Therefore, in him we are guilty of violating the holy law of God. However, we can't simply blame him for our situation because we sin against God many, many times a day, and we do so willingly. Due to our guilt, we deserve God's condemnation. What is our hope? That God will not hold our violation of His holy law (sin) against us. Fortunately, God graciously forgives the sins of His people because Jesus Christ is our representative. He lived in perfect obedience to God, and His perfect life is ours. And because of His crucifixion, our sins are forgiven. In this episode, I review several New Testament verses on forgiveness.

69 - 11+ Verses on Which to Meditate
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Tuesday Mar 22, 2022
Christian meditation is a biblical practice. Just look at Psalm 1. However, Christian meditation isn't the same thing as eastern meditation. It's not mindfulness or removing conscious thoughts. It's not focusing on your breathing or calming yourself. In Christian meditation, you think constantly about the word of God. This could be a particular passage or theological concept. It could be thinking about what God has done for you in Christ or about His promises to you. In this episode, I review 11+ biblical passages for you to meditate on.

Do you ever feel inadequate as a parent? Do you find parenting difficult? There's a reason for this. The game is set against us from the beginning. The good news is God has not left you alone. The Holy Spirit works through you to shape your children into the people He wants them to be. However, is it possible that parenting is more about shaping you than your children? In this episode, I discuss parenting from several angles.

64 - David’s Confession of Sin - A Review of Psalm 51
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Tuesday Feb 08, 2022
Some elevate David as an example for us to follow. However, he is no more of an example of a godly man than you and me. He acted wickedly and committed heinous sins. Yet David loved God and poured out his heart to Him, confessing his sin and pleading to God for mercy. We see his confession of sin in Psalm 51. In this episode, I review David's confession of sin. This gives us a good pattern to follow when we confess our sins to God.

63 - Why the Three Marks of the Church Matter
Tuesday Jan 25, 2022
Tuesday Jan 25, 2022
Did you you know that not every church is a true church? Did you know there's a way to distinguish between a true church and a false church? Every true church has several distinguishing features. This is important for us to know because it helps us identify false churches and serves as a standard for choosing a church. In this episode, I discuss the three marks of the church. This will help you identify false churches and choose a true church.

They are influenced by prominent leaders in some Christian circles. In this episode, I discuss sola scriptura and show you why it's important.

The Protestant Reformation is a major event in the history of the church. As the Catholic church shifted from its biblical roots, the reformers worked diligently to return the church to its biblical foundation. Key teachings of the reformation are found in the five solas. 60 - Fallen and Saved by Representation
Tuesday Jan 04, 2022
Tuesday Jan 04, 2022
One thing that sets Christianity apart from other religions is how people get to heaven. Many people believe they have to earn their way to heaven. Furthermore, they actually believe they can. However, all of us are guilty of violating God's holy law. Therefore, how can anyone earn their way to heaven when they are guilty. In this episode, I discuss how we are fallen in Adam and saved in Christ. With this in mind, we are fallen by representation and saved by representation.

Tuesday Dec 28, 2021
Tuesday Dec 28, 2021
Jesus shocked His audience when He told a simple parable about a Pharisee and a tax collector. Imagine what they would have thought when they found out a despicable man was justified by God and their hero was not. Like Jesus' audience many people today don't really understand how a person is justified. In this episode, I discuss the parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector. Join me and be encouraged by the grace God freely pours out on sinners.

Tuesday Dec 21, 2021
Tuesday Dec 21, 2021
It seems some churches have limited the Holy Spirit to spiritual gifts. However, Peter tells us that the Holy Spirit is far more involved in God's work of salvation and sanctification than simply giving spiritual gifts. He is a key agent in the work of salvation and sanctification. In this episode, we will look at who the Holy Spirit is and what He does. This will help you get a better understanding of the Holy Spirit.

Many people have a distorted view of God. Some people think He is like Santa Claus, someone who loves to hand out goodies to make people happy. Others see God as a harsh task-master, someone who loves to boss you around and take away all your fun. In this episode, I review Exodus 34:6-7 to get a clearer picture of who God is. The Bible can be difficult to understand. There may be several reasons for this. One reason may be that you don't fully understand the whole story of the Bible. If you don't know the whole story, it's difficult to see where stories fit in the redemptive story of God. In this episode, I review the Bible story found in Joshua, Judges, and Ruth. Join me and see God's covenant faithfulness in spite of the people's wickedness.

The Bible can be difficult to understand. There may be several reasons for this. One reason may be that you don't fully understand the whole story of the Bible. If you don't know the whole story, it's difficult to see where stories fit in the redemptive story of God. In this episode, I discuss the flow of the story during the time covered in Exodus to Deuteronomy.
Bible References: (Genesis 15:13-16; Exodus 1; Exodus 2; Exodus 3; Exodus 9:12; Exodus 9:13-21; Exodus 10:1; Exodus 10:20; Exodus 10:27; Exodus 11:10; Exodus 14:8; Exodus 20:1-17; Exodus 32; Leviticus 10:1-3; Numbers 13; Numbers 14; Numbers 20:2-13; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 5:7)
Note: when I said God told us about Jesus several hundred years, I should have said several thousand years ago.

The Bible can be difficult to understand. There may be several reasons for this. One reason may be that you don't fully understand the whole story of the Bible. If you don't know the whole story, it's difficult to see where stories fit in the redemptive story of God. In this episode, I begin a series to tell the story of the Bible. This episode reviews the book of Genesis.
Bible References: (Genesis 1:31; Genesis 2:1-3; Genesis 2:15-17; Genesis 3:6; Genesis 3:15; Genesis 6:5; Genesis 8:21; Genesis 9:14-15; Genesis 12:1-3; Genesis 15:1-6; Genesis 17; Genesis 22:1-19; Genesis 49:10; Genesis 50:19-21; Psalm 51:5; Malachi 1:2-3; Romans 4:1-11; Romans 5:12; Romans 9:12-13; John 5:39; John 5:46)
Note: I said the Bible was written over two thousand years ago. Though the Old Testament books were written over two thousand years ago, the New Testament books were written about two thousand years ago, not over two thousand years ago.

51 - Who Will Win the Cosmic Battle?
Tuesday Oct 19, 2021
Tuesday Oct 19, 2021
Watch what happens around the world, and you get the feeling that we're involved in a cosmic battle between God and Satan. Often times it seems the devil makes progress against God. However, appearances can be misleading. Things may not be as they seem. In this episode, I explore the cosmic battle between God and Satan and reveal who will win this battle, or who has already won.

50 - This Miracle Happens Every Day
Tuesday Oct 12, 2021
Tuesday Oct 12, 2021
Do you believe in miracles? Many people don't. However, the Bible has recorded many miracles. Moreover, though the Bible describes many miracles, we don't see miracles happen today. But that doesn't mean they don't happen. In fact, there's a miracle that happens every day. We just can't see it with our own eyes. In this episode, I discuss this miracle that happens every day.

49 - Why God Had Abraham Circumcised
Tuesday Sep 21, 2021
Tuesday Sep 21, 2021
God gave Abraham a strange command. In Genesis 17 God made a covenant with Abraham and commanded him and his male offspring to be circumcised. Why would God command Abraham to do this? Circumcision seems to cruel. However, God would never command anyone to do something that doesn't have a purpose or meaning. In this episode, I discuss why God implemented the covenant sign of circumcision by reviewing Romans 4:1-12.

48 - A Magnificent Gift From God
Tuesday Sep 14, 2021

Our tendency is to think we have to obey God in order to be righteous. However, this is impossible. We sinned in Adam and are guilty of violating the holy law of God. Therefore, we are unrighteous. So what hope do we have? In this episode, I help you see the only way to be declared righteous before our holy God. Receive His righteousness as a gift, which we receive by faith alone.

47 - Proof That You Have Been United to Christ
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
There are many views on how to be saved. Some believe you have to do good things in order earn salvation. Others believe you have to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. However, there's really only one way to be saved, and that is by union with Christ, which occurs through faith. When one comes to faith in Christ, God has united that person to Christ. Did you know there is a way to verify your union with God? In this episode, I share with you proof that God has united you to Christ.

Tuesday Aug 31, 2021
Tuesday Aug 31, 2021
Has anyone ever asked you, "Have you been born again?" or "Are you a born again Christian?" "Born again" is a term widely used in Christian circles. But what does it mean to be born again? In this episode, I discuss what this means by looking at Jesus' interaction with Nicodemus. By the way, another name for "being born again" is regeneration.

45 - What I Said When My Dad Died
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Tuesday Aug 24, 2021
Death is inescapable. First, all of us have felt the pain of losing loved ones. Second, we all have an appointment with death. But death isn't the end of the story. It's just the next step in God's redemptive story. In this episode, I record the messages I gave at my dad's graveside service and his celebration of life service. I did this so my family has a copy of the services, since it wasn't recorded at the time, and to encourage my family and you.

Tuesday Aug 17, 2021
Tuesday Aug 17, 2021
Who is Jesus Christ? Was He a wise man who died at the hands of an angry mob? Was He guru who misled a group of gullible men? Or was He much more significant than we can ever imagine? Jesus Christ is the Savior of God's people. Through Him God saves His people. But who really is Jesus Christ? In this episode, I take a look at who Jesus Christ is and help you see that your faith in Jesus is not in vain.

43 - Why God Called Abraham to Offer His Son
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Tuesday Aug 10, 2021
Imagine you were old and had no children. Then God promises you a son, but waits many years before delivering on His promise. Then God tells you to offer your son as a burnt offering. What would go through your mind? How would you respond? This is the story we see in Genesis 22:1-19. In this episode, I show the real reason why God called Abraham to offer his son as a burnt offering.

42 - The Significance of Christ‘s Resurrection
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Tuesday Aug 03, 2021
Some people don't believe Jesus rose from the dead. Others believe He rose spiritually from the dead but not physically. However, substantial evidence validates the resurrection of Christ. Therefore, believing that the resurrection happened is not far-fetched. In this episode, I review John 20:1-29 and show you why the resurrection of Christ is significant.

Tuesday Jul 27, 2021

We all love a good meal. However, what happens hours after we eat a hearty meal. We get hungry again. What if we could eat a meal in which we never hunger. There is such food. However, this food isn't physical. It's a person. In this episode, I discuss Jesus as the bread of life, the bread that came from heaven to save God's people.
