Terry Fox explores the Bible to reveal the Christian message so you will know you have peace with God in Jesus Christ by the grace of God. Christianity is the amazing story of a holy God pursuing His sinful people to rescue them from sin, death, the devil, and His wrath. To do this God came to earth as a man, Jesus Christ, lived a perfect life and died the death we deserve. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit makes you alive with Christ and unites you to Him by working faith in you. Now all that belongs to Jesus Christ belongs to you. His righteousness is credited to you. His death is your death. His resurrection is your resurrection. You are secure in Jesus Christ because you are saved by grace. Now you have peace with God in Jesus Christ. You will see this more clearly as we study the Bible, review historic Christian confessions, and examine Reformed theology to build a solid foundation. Terry’s simple style makes it easy to understand. This will help soften your heart, and your love and devotion to God will flourish. Hit subscribe and grow in God’s grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The First Catechism is a children's catechism and is a great tool to help parents educate their children concerning the basic principles of Christianity. My intent for reviewing of this catechism is to dig deeper into the teachings of Christianity in order to better prepare parents to accomplish their task of teaching their children. In this episode, I discuss the Covenant of Grace, justification, and sanctification.

91 - Death Sucks, but It’s Toast
Monday Mar 20, 2023
Monday Mar 20, 2023
I was with my mom when she died, and I saw first hand that death sucks. It's horrible watching a loved one die. But death is common to all of us because we will all die. However, this isn't the end of the story. There is coming a day when Jesus will come and call believers from their graves. We will live with Him forever in bodies that cannot sin, suffer, or die. In this episode, I discuss why we will rise from the dead.

84 - Bible Survey - Genesis 15 and 16
Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Genesis 15 establishes a very important principle: justification by faith. It shows that God made a promise to Abram, and he believed God. God then counted his faith as righteousness. Yet we see in Genesis 16 that Abram's faith was actually weak. Fortunately, Abram's weak faith was sufficient faith. God is a covenant-making God, and His covenant is unilateral. It's not based on our merit or obedience. It's based on His grace and promise alone. Furthermore, not only did God establish His covenant with Abram, He assumed the penalty for any violation of it. In this episode, I review Genesis 15 and 16 where we will take a closer look at God's promise and covenant and Abram's weak faith.

The stage has been set for Abraham, the father of the Jews. God graciously called him out of his land to a land that God will give him. But this story isn't really about Abraham. God continues to move His plan to defeat Satan forward. Through Abraham's line, the promised offspring of Genesis 3:15 will come. And in chapter 14, God gives us a glimpse of Jesus Christ (the promised offspring of Genesis 3:15) in the priest-king, Melchizedek. In this episode, I review Genesis 12-14. We will see God's plan to defeat Satan continue to unfold as He promises to make Abraham a great nation.

God flooded the earth with water, but He saved Noah and his family and two of each kind of animal. Did this cure the sin problem? Unfortunately, it did not. However, God made a covenant with Noah, his family, and all living things that He would never again destroy all living things with the flood of water. He didn't establish this covenant with Noah because he was sinless. Noah wasn't sinless. God made a covenant based on His grace alone. To confirm His promise, He set up a sign of His covenant: the rainbow. But who was this sign for? It appears God instituted this sign so that He would remember His covenant. In this episode, I review Genesis 9-11 and look deeper at God’s covenant with Noah, his family, and all living things. We will also see how sin continues to affect the world.

Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
Wednesday Sep 07, 2022
Adam's sin affected the entire human race. The result of this was wickedness. Due to the corruption of man's sin, God acted according to His justice and flooded the earth with the flood of water. However, God rescued Noah and his family in an ark. But why did He rescue Noah? The answer may not be what you think. Furthermore, there's more to this story than a man surviving a flood. In this episode, I discuss Genesis 6-8 and show you how the Noah event points us to Christ.

Why do we live in a sinful world? Adam sinned against a holy God by eating the forbidden fruit. Did that affect Adam alone? No, he represented all of us in the Garden of Eden. Cain shows that sin affects all of mankind when he killed his brother. In this episode, I continue my survey of Genesis by reviewing chapters 4 and 5. We will see how the sin of Adam affected all mankind.

Thursday Jun 30, 2022
Thursday Jun 30, 2022
The Old Testament is not always easy to understand. There are several reasons for this. First, it was written over two thousand years ago. The original audience was a different culture than ours. Also, the Old Testament was written in a different language. This creates challenges when translating. Furthermore, our approach to reading the Bible affects our understanding it. With this in mind, we often miss things that God told us throughout the Old Testament. In this episode, I begin a survey on the book of Genesis by looking at Genesis 1 and 2.

77 - Believe God
Wednesday Jun 15, 2022
Wednesday Jun 15, 2022
Some people wonder how people were saved in the Old Testament prior to the coming of Christ. People were justified by believing God. There are many examples of this in the Old Testament. We even see the same thing in the New Testament. In this episode, I define faith and review several acts of simple faith.

Thursday Jun 02, 2022
Some people say there are many ways to heaven. But is this true? Jesus says it's not true. In fact, He says He is THE WAY. That means there's only one way to heaven. But did you know there is only one way to hell as well? In this episode, I discuss the only way to hell and the only way to the Father.

75 - Where Do They Overlap? The Fruit of Repentance and the Fruit of the Spirit
Tuesday May 24, 2022

The Bible speaks of fruit on several occasions. You have fruit in keeping with repentance and the fruit of the Spirit. Both are works of the Holy Spirit. But are they the same thing? In this episode, I talk about the fruit of repentance and the fruit of the Spirit and where the two overlap.

74 - How to Handle Failure
Wednesday May 18, 2022
Wednesday May 18, 2022
We all have regret, things we wish we had done differently. Many people have broken marriages, troubled children, financial problems, or many other things. But truthfully, all of us have failed. However, God is gracious and sovereign. He is able to use our failure for our good. Not only that, our failures cannot thwart the plan of God. In fact, our failures are part of His plan. In this episode, I talk about why we fail in this life and point you to Christ who succeeded on our behalf.

73 - Sharing the Gospel Is Not That Difficult
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
As a new Christian, I was afraid to tell people about Jesus because I could never get people to make a decision for Jesus. What I failed to understand is that I had no power over a person making a decision for Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the one who changes the heart of a man. When I finally realized this, I was able to share the gospel more readily. In this episode, I talk about sharing the gospel and help you see that it's not as hard as you may think.

72 - The Purpose of Marriage
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Tuesday Apr 12, 2022
Many people enter marriage for the wrong reasons. In America, a person typically enters a marriage with the person he or she is in love with. However, they base their marriages on emotion and don't understand the real significance of marriage. What if God had a completely different purpose for marriage? In this episode, I discuss the real purpose of marriage.

71 - Knowing Who You Are in Christ Is a Source of Comfort
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Tuesday Apr 05, 2022
Some people suffer from spiritual dementia. They don't realize who they are in Christ. The audience to whom Peter wrote in his first epistle experienced suffering. To encourage his readers, Peter reminded them of their identity in Christ. In this episode, I discuss your identity in Christ. This is important because understanding who you are in Christ provides comfort.

70 - New Testament Verses on Forgiveness
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Monday Apr 04, 2022
Adam was our representative in the Garden of Eden. So when he sinned, we sinned. Therefore, in him we are guilty of violating the holy law of God. However, we can't simply blame him for our situation because we sin against God many, many times a day, and we do so willingly. Due to our guilt, we deserve God's condemnation. What is our hope? That God will not hold our violation of His holy law (sin) against us. Fortunately, God graciously forgives the sins of His people because Jesus Christ is our representative. He lived in perfect obedience to God, and His perfect life is ours. And because of His crucifixion, our sins are forgiven. In this episode, I review several New Testament verses on forgiveness.
